May 1973            Sahara Tahoe Souvenir Menu

Rarely seen menu from the Sahara Tahoe Hotel in Lake Tahoe. This record styled menu was used for Elvis´ concerts at the Hotel`s showroom from May 4 thru May 20, 1973. The menus from Lake Tahoe are less common than the ones from Las Vegas and are therefore very hard to find these days. This card measures 11”.

May 1974            Sahara Tahoe Souvenir Menu

This nice souvenir menu was used during Elvis’ engagement at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel from May 16 thru May 26, 1974. The exterior of this menu is similar to the menu wich was used at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel during the January-February engagement in same year. This engagement was his third one in Lake Tahoe since 1971. Elvis did not perform as often in Lake Tahoe as he did in Las Vegas. The menu measures approximately 81/4 x 11”.

1976                         Table Card

Unused table card (4” x 10”) from Elvis´ final appearances at    Del Webb´s Sahara Tahoe Hotel, reading: `Additional Beverages $2.50 each´ . These table cards have been used during Elvis´ engagement in Lake Tahoe from April 30 thru May 9, 1976.    This time at the Sahara Tahoe, Elvis performed only 15 shows.

1969 - 1971              Playing Cards

Souvenir playing cards used or sold as souvenirs by the legendary International Hotel, Las Vegas. Beautiful collectibles from a hotel that no longer exists. Reportedly, Elvis’ shows had be cut short, so that the visitors could spend more time with gambling, wich is the hotel’s prinicipal source of income. As you can see, all cards bear the logo of the International Hotel on their backside.

1969 - 1971              Souvenir Postcard

Souvenir postcard from the International Hotel. This one was manufactured by Mirro-Krome and has the number GFS-47. This postcard measures approx. 5 1/2 x 3 1/2”. The photograph shows the International Hotel building, that later became the Las Vegas Hilton. The International postcards are much rarer than the ones from the Hilton.

Souvenir cocktail stiring stick from the International Hotel. This was made from yellow plastic. The hotel logo on top of the swizzle stick is printed with orange color. The stick has a length of approx. 6”. Later, the Hilton Hotel had made their own stiring sticks. Beautiful and hard to find artifact from the International Hotel, even though it was not necessarily used during one of Elvis’ shows.

1970                         Table Card

These table cards, announcing Polk Salad with Corn Muffins & Honey, have likely been used during the Summer Festival of 1970, when MGM filmed the shows. Dark and light green printing on light yellow cardboard. The table card measures approx. 6 1/3 x 3 3/4”.

Here comes one rare menu card from Elvis greatest and best known Las Vegas engagement. This was used during his third engagement at the International Hotel from August 10 thru September 7, 1970. This is the engagement, when MGM filmed several of the shows for the legendary documentary That´s The Way It Is. Many celebrities attendened the shows. The menu measures 8 1/4 x 11”. This is still one of the most sought-after menus. Have a closer look.
