The Big Boss Man CD is a mono soundboard recording, taped on March, 30, 1975 in the showroom of the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. The great rocking version of Promised Land is a real monster on this release and probably the best live version of this song available by now. The CD is well rounded by eight bonus songs from the same engagement, even though some of them had been previously released by BMG. This CD was released in April 2005.
