This beautiful magazine was published by the Renal Corporation in 1956. Most of the featured pictures were taken by the legendary photographer Al Wertheimer , who took thousands of photographs of Elvis back in 1956. A selection of his best photographs can be found in publications like Elvis Answers Back and Elvis ‘56. Amazing Elvis Presley has 52 pages of photographs, informations and stories about Elvis at his very best. A highly collectible item.

1956                         Elvis Presley Speaks!

Extremly rare magazine from the USA, issued in 1956. It has on 68 pages his own story in his own words, as written by R. Williams of the Memphis Commercial Appeal and lots of fantastic b/w pictures of wich most can not be found anywhere else. In fact it contains only 70 pictures and not 100 as announced on the cover. Seems as if no one counted them for almost a half decade. This is one of the most sought after magazines from the early 50´s. Many collectors will pay top prices to get a copie in good condition.
Value: 150 - 200 US$

December 1957       Hillbilly And Western Scrapbook - 1958 Edition

This series of scene scrapbooks was edited and published by Thurston Moore. On 52 pages it features news and biographies of many western and hillbilly stars of the time and yes ...many odd hillbillies you never heard about before. Elvis himself is being presented on a full page. The biographies are very well written and definitely a pretty nice read.
Value: 35 - 50 US$

December 1958       THIMK

THIMK is a comic released by Counterpoint Inc. in the style of the famous MAD Magazine. To my best knowledge, only six numbers of THIMK had been published between May 1958 and May 1959 when it was finally ceased. This one is number 4. The cover artwork was titled So Who Needs Elvis? It has two tiny allusions to Elvis on its 44 pages. This is not the classic Elvis magazine, but at least a nice gimmick for the Elvis collector.
Value: 30 - 40 US$
