1960                         Elvis The King Returns

This rare american magazine was published in 1960 by Edgar Publishing from New York. Back in 1960, this one was sold for 35 cent. It features on 68 pages about 150 b/w pictures and not 200 as announced on the cover. However, some of these pictures are very rare and barely been seen. The magazine has chapters like Army Life, His Fabulous Career, His Love Life and His Future. Very well written and informative magazine.

Super rare TV supplemement with fantastic cartoon cover of Elvis & Sinatra from St. Louis, USA. The great drawing shows Elvis dressed in a customary bavarian costume playing an accordion.  This mag is for the week of May 8-14, 1960 and features the national and local TV program. You can find a lot of advertisements and some reports and stories as well. There are no reports on Elvis, but it has a picture of Elvis and Nancy Sinatra inside. This 52 pages magazine measures approximately 5 ¹/2 x 7”.

Here comes the most famous TV Guide, announcing the legendary Frank Sinatra Timex Show, known as Welcome Home, Elvis. The TV Guide is for the week of May 7-13, 1960. Because of the beautiful cover artwork of Elvis & Sinatra by Arthur Briggs, this   is probably the most sought after TV Guide among Elvis fans. Guide is complete with 64 pages of TV Programs, featuring three Elvis related pages and 32 pages of reports on glossy paper, most  of them in full color. This part also features two reports and photos of Elvis during the Special. The magazine measures 5 x 7¹/2”.

December 1968       TV Times Los Angeles

This issue of the TV Times is Vol. 9, Number 49 and features the daily TV listings for the week of December 1-7, 1968, announcing Elvis´ Comeback Special as Singer Presents Elvis. The supplement was send to subscribers of the Los Angeles Times once a week. This magazine has fourty pages and measures 8¹/4 x 10”. Page two has a Behind The Scenes report about the Special, wich was aired by NBC on December, 3, at 9pm in the Los Angeles area. The great action shot shows Elvis during one of the live acts, as part of the Special.

This TV supplement by the St. Louis Globe-Democrat was issued for the week of November 30 - December 6, 1968. It features the local and regional TV program. Even though Elvis is featured on the front cover, there are no reports or detailed informations about the special inside, but it has a full-page article about Ann-Margret, wich is the biggest of only two articles in the supplement at all. Instead you can find tons of various advertisements and it is really a great fun reading them. It has 24 pages and measures 7 ¹/4 x 10¹/4”.

Even though Elvis is pictured on the front cover again, there are no pictures, reports or detailed informations about the special inside. It has instead pictures of Johnny Cash and Ann-Margret. Seems as if someone from the editorial had a favour for Ann-Margret. Again you can find tons of cool advertisements. This rare TV supplement has 24 pages and measures 7¹/4 x 10¹/4”. Aloha From Hawaii was aired in St. Louis on April 4.
