When refering to the latest Osborne price guide, you will find four different black label variations described. But you won´t find any informations about this. Usually this label (EP#4) credits the
songwriters for Paralyzed as Otis Blackwell - Elvis Presley and not just Otis Blackwell. A similar label (EP#3) is known to exist, crediting just Blackwell on some copies. The difference between both
labels is found in the typestyle of “NEW ORTHOPHONIC HIGH FIDELITY”. On the EP#3 label this is typed in a regular bold style, while EP#4 has a condensed bold typestyle and the side number on EP#3 is in a sans serif typeface (I
), while this label has the side numbers in a serif (1) typeface. There is no reference made to any EP#4 label with credits just going to Otis Blackwell. The matrix numbers are, as usually, stamped into the
vinyl trail-off and not engraved: G2 WH7209-1S and G2 WH7210-1S, identifying this a real first pressing!According to the price guide, all covers from 1956 have excerpted liner notes on the cover backside from LPM-1382, beginning
