COLLECTIBLES FROM IT HAPPENED AT THE WORLD'S FAIR

MGM - TED RICHMOND PRODUCTION - April 1963

Mexico - Press Book

This mexican press book, made by MGM to promote Rubias Morenas Y Pelirrojas (Blondes, Brunettes And Redheads), was printed around 1963 and measures 8 1/2 x 11”. It contains some articles in spanish language, photos and campaign mats on eight pages. You already might have recognized, that the booklet is by far, much smaller and less comprehensive than similar american editions. Of course, american pressbooks are usually the ones that collectors go for, but if you’re looking for pressbooks from other countries than the USA, you will notice that they are pretty hard to obtain.
Value: 30 - 45 US$

COLLECTIBLES FROM VIVA LAS VEGAS

MGM - JACK CUMMINGS - GEORGE SIDNEY PRODUCTION - June 1964

Mexico - MGM Pressbook

This mexican fold-out pressbook, made by MGM to promote Amor En Las Vegas, was printed in 1964. It is interesting, that the pressbook credits the original movie title as Love In Las Vegas. It appears to be a working title, wich might have changed in the last moment, as many other countries also used Love In Las Vegas for their releases. This booklet measures
8
1/2 x 11” and contains several articles in spanish language, photos and campaign mats on six pages. Again, the booklet is much smaller and less comprehensive than similar editions.
Value: 45 - 60 US$

USA - MGM Pressbook

Viva Las Vegas is still, not only among Elvis fans, his best picture from the mid 60´s and the title song became a real classic tune today, covered by many others. His fifteenth movie did very well for Elvis, reaching #14 on Variety´s list of top-grossing films back in 1964, with a grossing income of almost 5 million dollars. This result was much better than most other movies of Elvis in the mid 60´s. The pressbook was produced in 1964 by MGM . It was printed in the USA and measures 121/4 x 17”. This publication is filled with lots of promotional advices, examples for various contests, pre-written articles, advertisement mats for newspaper use and stories from the production itself on 12 glossy pages.
Value: 150 - 180 US$
